Item Description
The unique design and construction of this lamp will create a special addition to any room – ideal for an end table, shelf or nightstand. Handcrafted in the Philippines, the shade is made from Guyanano leaves which are dyed to create their vibrant color. This is a special labor-intensive process done over a 3-4 month period, where the leaves are hand rubbed with chlorophyll so only its skeleton remains. Once the chlorophyll is removed, the leaf is stained with organic dyes and then handstitched to their powder coated, wrought iron frame and then set on wooden finials. The inside of the shade is wrapped in cocoa leaves to provide a high-quality finish. The lamp uses a Candelabra bulb. LED is recommended to avoid the high heat of incandescent bulbs which can cause discoloration of the shade over time. Lamp features an on and off cord switch. The total dimensions of the lamp are 9” long x 5” wide by 9” tall.
