These colorful elephants are a fair-trade product handmade in Kenya. They are hand-carved out of a single piece of soapstone, sanded until smooth, and dyed. Then an artisan uses a knife to etch the patterns into each elephant. The unique trunk design makes these great ring holders. Since all elephants are hand carved, shape and color will vary slightly making each one unique. Each soapstone elephant measures approximately 3 1/4" long x 1 3/4" wide x 2" tall and comes in a velveteen pouch with story card.
